Boys' and girls' tryouts are now complete. If you have a player interested in playing with NWI United FC for the 2009-2010 team and have missed the tryout sessions, there may be positions still available in some of the age groups. Wednesday, July 1st, there will be a parent meeting for all NWI United FC youth and junior team parents held at the Valparaiso University Library. More information about this meeting can be found on the Tryout Information Sheet (below). At the July 1st meeting, paperwork will be collected and coaches introduced. Items you need to bring to the meeting include a photocopy of your player's birth certificate (if new to United), a 1"x1" headshot photo, Player Conduct Form, Medical Release (notarized), and $100 fee deposit. If you are unable to attend the meeting, these items along with the Player Commitment Form should be mailed to NWI United FC, P.O. Box 1806, Valparaiso, IN 46384-1806 no later than July 2nd.
Team rosters are posted at this time by player number. Please click on the TEAM link to the left and then the specific age group to find the listing. All players should accept their positions on the team either by phone with their evaluator or via email to Coach Cardenas for U9-U12 teams or Coach Mrak for U13 and U14 teams. Acceptance needs to be complete by 7pm on Monday, June 29th (see Tryout Information Sheet above for more information.

U13s & U14s in ISL for Fall 2009
Congratulations to the U14 Boys and U14 Girls teams for advancing to ISL Premier for the Fall 2009 season. Congratulations to the U13 Girls for being selected for ISL 2nd Division in their first year of ISL eligibility. These teams are the only teams in northwest Indiana to be placed in ISL for the Fall 2009 season. Great job teams!
NWI introduces new structure, director
NWI United is very pleased to announce that a new structure for our club has been designed which focuses new emphasis on all three of our major age ranges. As opposed to the old structure which split focus of the seniors into boys and girls and had the youth stretched from 8 - 14, we have tightened our focus on three core segments and brought additional leadership to the club.
NWI United FC congratulates its U-17 Girls White team for its victory in the Indiana Challenge Cup. The girls defeated Center Grove Extreme 2-1 in the championship game, after defeating the Evansville Blitz 1-0 in the semifinal game. Congratulations girls on a great job!
*** U-16 boys win Region II President's Cup***
The U-16 boys team for its 1st place finish in the recent President's Cup, with a 2-1 victory and a 1-1 tie against the Wisconsin Regents Internationals. The boys won their spot in the tournament by finishing 1st in the ISL Premier Division. The team will compete in the national tournament in July. Congratulations boys!
*** U-17 boys Win Siege Championship***
Despite playing short-handed all weekend, the U-17 boys team won 1st place in the Siege of St. Francis in Indianapolis. The boys defeated several top-level teams to take the championship, rebounding from a 2-goal deficit to defeat Indianapolis Premier Black 4-3 in the championship game. Congratulations to the boys for a hard-fought victory!
*** Youth Team Successes***
NWI United's youth teams also had a successful spring. The U-12 girls finished in 1st place in NISL for both the regular season and the tournament. The U-12 boys also took a first place in the NISL tournament, and advanced to the finals of Challenge Cup. Meanwhile, the U-13 girls finished 2nd in ISL's 1st Division. Congratulations for a great spring season.
*** Congratulations U-13 teams, U-17 girls***
The U-13 girls and boys teams were both finalists at last weekend's Jr. Irish Memorial Day Invitational in South Bend. The boys finished undefeated in the preliminary round with 3 victories and 1 tie before losing in the championship game 4-3. The U-13 girls, meanwhile, finished with 2 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss. The U-17 girls blue team took 2nd place in the Midwest Cup in Naperville. After losing their first game 2-1, the girls won 3 straight for the runner-up prize. Congratulations to all the teams on a great showing!!
U-18 BOYS WIN TOURNEY TITLE
The NWI United U-18 Boys started off their defense their Indiana State Cup Title by winning the Adidas Blues City Blowout Tournament in Memphis,TN, on March 14 & 15. The team defeated Pike Indy Burn Premier (IN) 5-0; United U-18/19 (KY) 5-1; Downers Grove Roadrunners FC U-18 Premier (IL) 4-1; and Evansville ESC 91 Boys (IN) 1-0.The team tallied 15 goals while yielding only 2 goals against. There is to be absolutely NO parking on the grass; NO parking along Porter Avenue or Dickinson Road. Parking is available in the REMAX/Bank building parking lot right off Porter Avenue by our north side fields.
Parking is available in the driveway entrance to the Westchester Medical Clinic; however, there is to be NO parking beside the median at the entrance and exit to the clinic. There is only parking on the driveway entrance on the side along the fields (NO parking on both sides of the driveway entrance). Parking in the clinic parking lot should be done in the outer parking spaces as the clinic is open all through our practice sessions.
